More InformationTop-notch tube microphone, friendly price tag

The front and back diaphragms can be combined to form 9 different polar patterns from omni to cardioid and figure-of-eight. A double triode, the renowned 12AX7B (swappable!) and a transformer are responsible for the warm and rich, yet detailed sound character of the SCT 2000. Unlike most tube studio microphones of this kind that are awfully expensive, our top-notch tube mike goes easy on your wallet!
The SCT 2000 will be your studio highlight

Armed with a colourful microphone that plays well with EQ and dynamic shaping, you are equipped for almost all recording situations. Be it vocals, speech, acoustic guitar, drum overheads, cabinets or room ambience: The SCT 2000 not only „gets the job done“ but delivers superb and high-class signals. Loud sources up to 130 dB SPL (0,5% THD+N) are no issue for this tube microphone. With a low self noise level of 16 dB(A) and a sensitivity of 14 mV/Pa, even brittle and delicate sound sources are captured properly. The frequency response is full-range with a confident boost in the air band, a small dip to reduce harshness and a full bodied bass response.
What's in the box? Everything!

To prevent mechanical vibration from reaching the microphone itself, the SCT 2000 comes with an elastic suspension. Between us: The big, classic shock mount definitely gives the microphone a premium look. The included power supply, which is needed for the electronics and especially the tube heating, also houses the switch for selecting the polar patterns. A standard 3-pin XLR cable doesn’t cut it here, so a 7-pin XLR is included. And of course, this gem of a mic deserves proper protection: Its wooden box can be stored in a sturdy flight case alongside the shock mount, power supply and cable for storage and transport.
