This allrounder sounds upfront, but not shrill

The mic transmits between 50 Hz and 16 kHz. It sounds rather upfront and open when at a distance from the source and picks up additional bass when used in close proximity. As there is a small, deliberate dip between 5 and 10 kHz, the MB75 Beta does not tend to emphasize shrillness of a source.

Use it for everything!

As a moving coil transducer, the capsule is not prone to distorting when being exposed to high sound pressure levels. With a maximum SPL of 132 dB, miking really loud sound sources is not an issue. So feel free to use it for whatever you desire. Drums and percussion, guitar amp cabinets and brass instruments are a perfect match for the t.bone MB75 Beta. Speech and vocals also work well with the mic, with the frequency response removing harshness produced by some voices. So try it out as a handheld microphone as well!

Supercardioid for strong side rejection

The MB75 Beta connects via a standard XLR cable and does not need phantom power. With its supercardioid pattern, it is a very focused spot mic that strongly rejects sound approaching from the rear or the sides. The t.bone MB75 Beta is delicate enough to capture the small details of sound sources. Nonetheless it is rugged enough for tough conditions on stage and on tour. For protection while moving or storing it, the MB75 comes in a sturdy plastic hard shell case. Needless to say, a microphone clip is also included.
