Large-Diaphragm Detail for Countless Applications

the t.bone SC 450

The t.bone SC 450 delivers studio-grade clarity for vocals, spoken word and acoustic instruments. Used on its own, it also works beautifully for room ambience, single-spot orchestral pickup, church organ details or environmental sound design. And when combined with additional SC 450 units, it becomes suitable for stereo or multi-mic setups for choirs, orchestras and larger ensembles — giving creators an affordable way to scale their recording capabilities.

Bright, Open and Controlled Sound

the t.bone SC 450

With a frequency response from 20 Hz to 18 kHz, the SC 450 captures deep lows, natural mids and an open, airy top end. A gentle dip in the upper mids helps avoid harshness on bright sources. For close-up recordings, the low-cut filter reduces proximity effect, while the switchable -10 dB pad boosts the mic’s maximum SPL handling — ideal for loud instruments or powerful singers. Quiet passages and subtle ambiences also benefit from its low self-noise performance.

Studio-Ready and Easy to Integrate

the t.bone SC 450

Powered via 48 V phantom power, the SC 450 connects seamlessly to any audio interface or preamp. Its cardioid polar pattern offers focused capture with reduced room noise — helpful in both treated and untreated spaces. Included is a shock mount that minimizes structure-borne noise and makes the mic immediately ready for sessions involving vocals, piano, guitar, overhead-style ambience or organ and ensemble recordings.
