More InformationThe high-quality stereo condenser set everyone can afford

While many condenser microphone pairs cost a fortune, the t.bone EM 800 Stereo Set is highly affordable – without sacrificing the key ingredients of a good sound. The very thin diaphragm effortlessly captures even the most delicate of sound waves – compared to the heavy, attached coils of dynamic mics that can cause some details to get lost.
Convenient stereo setup – everywhere

This stereo set easily holds its own in the recording studio, on stage, in houses of worship and even outdoors. Record single instruments and spread them in the image of the mix, record groups of instruments, whole orchestras or choirs and capture their whole image. The t.bone EM 800 Stereo Set also makes a splendid pair of drum overhead microphones. And of course, they can be used separately for, say, acoustic guitar or hi-hats. With their cardioid patterns, the microphones are very easy to position. The cardioid is also a convenient pattern for stereo recording, as it allows for XY, but also spaced systems and the much-loved ORTF.
Rivalling more expensive microphones

When it comes to the technical specifications, the EM 800s can match even significantly more expensive microphones. A noise level of only 14.5 dB(A) and a maximum SPL of 107 dB allow for great dynamics. With a sensitivity of 20.6 mV/Pa and an impedance of 200 ohms, the microphones connect to all preamps that can provide 48 volts of phantom power. The general sound character can be described as bright and clear, but never harsh or lacking fundamentals. The t.bone EM 800 Stereo Set ships complete with a couple of wind screens, clamps and a handy plastic case for secure transport and storage.
