Almost invisible
The plug features a locking mechanism that can only be released by pressing the respective button. This prevents the cable from accidentally slipping out of the socket when the cable is pulled. With a length of 1.15 m, the cable is long enough to be hidden underneath the performer’s clothing. Together with the skin-coloured finish, this means that this microphone is almost invisible.
Versatile condenser mic
The Earmic 500 is a condenser microphone with medium sensitivity, which makes it a great choice for picking up soft signals and all the details of a vocal performance. At the same time, it is not overly sensitive to background noise, which is crucial because of its omnidirectional polar pattern that picks up sound coming from all directions. While this pattern makes the microphone slightly more susceptible to feedback, this is beneficial for reporting and interviews, where the atmosphere of a situation needs to be captured as well.
Extremely lightweight
With its frequency response of 50 Hz to 20,000 Hz, this microphone covers all audio frequencies relevant to the human voice, omitting only the very low bass frequencies of the audible spectrum. This means that no detail gets lost during the miking process, ensuring a natural sound at the output. The t.bone Earmic 500 is not only visually unobtrusive, but also weighs just 13 grams, which means it can be used for extended periods of time without becoming uncomfortable. The microphone comes with a small zippered carrying bag with three accessory pockets. Replacement windscreens can be purchased separately.
