More InformationProfessional small
diaphragm condensers

As they come in pairs, they’re obviously perfect for stereo recording techniques like XY, NOS or even directional-AB when capturing a choir, ensemble, orchestra, church organ or drum set – or even ambient sounds or noises for library, foley or sound design uses. But that doesn’t mean that they cannot be used separately, of course – they work great on a wide variety of sources.
Super-cardioids and super numbers

The EM 700’s polar pattern forms a super-cardioid. This is a highly directional pattern that’s even narrower than the regular cardioid, dampening sound approaching the mic from the sides even more. But not just the pattern is “super”, so are the numbers: An equivalent noise level of 14.1 dB(A) makes for a really quiet small diaphragm condenser. The maximum sound pressure level of 143 dB is already quite high, but it can be raised further to 153 or even 163 dB SPL using the two-stage pad! This ensures that the phantom-powered mic doesn’t clip – even on really loud sources like drums or close to the hammers of a grand.
20 Hz to 20 kHz and lots of accessories

The t.bone EM 700 has a frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz, which corresponds to the range of the human ear. It brings a soft brightness and presence to the signal without sounding sharp or aggressive. A two-stage high pass filter cuts the low frequencies if needed, which is helpful when miking close to the source or for mixing reasons. The EM 700 Stereo Set comes with many useful accessories: A stereo bar allows for precise positioning, while the elastic suspensions prevent any rumble caused by mechanical vibration. For outdoor use, you will be happy to find a couple of wind screens included as well.
