Headphones for E-drums – and for everything else

the t.bone HD 150 headphones

The t.bone HD 150’s earcups are circumaural and closed-back, so the acoustic sound of the sticks hitting the drum pads won’t interfere too much with the drum sounds generated by the sound module or computer software. As drummer’s headphones, of course they play loud enough (97 dB SPL, power handling: 500 mW).

Perfect fit

the t.bone HD 150 headphones

Because a drummer moves while playing, it is important that the headphones stay in place at all times. The 225-grams the t.bone HD 150 fit tightly, but thanks to the generous padding of the earcups, they can easily be worn for many hours. The head band is padded as well and can be adjusted to various head sizes. Both earcups are yoke-mounted to ensure the perfect angle on the head. A detachable cable leads to a 3.5 mm (1/8”) plug; a 6.35 mm (1/4”) adapter is included. At 3 metres, the cable has the ideal length to run from the headphones down the drummer’s back to the sound module.

Exceeding the spectrum of the human ear

the t.bone HD 150 headphones

With an impedance as low as 32 ohms, the t.bone HD 150 works with all kinds of headphone amplifiers. They work perfectly even when connected to weaker amps such as those of mobile or inexpensive devices. Inside of each of the earcups, a moving coil driver converts the audio signal into soundwaves. The dynamic drivers are 45 millimetres in diameter and are capable of producing frequencies exceeding the spectrum the human ear can hear: With 10 Hz to 26 kHz frequency range, everything from the deepest sub bass up to the most delicate harmonics of cymbals and room information, everything sounds punchy and crystal-clear.
