Unnoticeable and sensitive
Its cable is compatible with Sennheiser body packs and has a length of 1.30 m, which is ideal for hiding it under clothing, making it virtually unnoticeable. The microphone can handle a maximum sound pressure level of 115 dB and is well-suited for many speech applications. Its sensitivity of 3.8 mV/Pa ensures that the microphone can pick up quieter sounds sufficiently. That’s why it also reproduces softer details of speaking voices with ease.
Forgiving positioning
The HeadmiKe O EW is purpose-built for speech applications. Use it for lectures and presentations, at trade fairs, in roundtable discussions, and even for video conferencing. With its beige color, it is visually inconspicuous when worn by a speaker. Its omnidirectional polar pattern means that this headset microphone is quite forgiving in terms of positioning. This makes it suitable for novice speakers or when things are in a rush on a video set, as it doesn’t have to be aligned precisely. At the same time, these characteristics make it less suitable for singers, but a good choice for video reporters who also want to capture parts of the ambience.
Handy features
The threaded ring on the end of the cable ensures that the plug of the HeadmiKe O EW cannot accidentally get pulled out of the body pack, even under unfavourable conditions. The headset also comes with a cable clip that securely attaches the microphone cable to clothing and provides further strain relief, if needed. A replaceable windscreen reduces the risk of unwanted pop sounds and protects the microphone from any moisture that may hit it. Additional replacement windscreens are available separately. A sliding ring on the microphone boom ensures that condensation or sweat cannot reach the microphone capsule.
