More InformationA true studio workhorse

A switchable high pass filter helps control the added bass response caused by the proximity effect when sound sources are near. Using the SC 1100 is easy, as it connects to all standard microphone preamps, mixers and audio interfaces that can supply 48 V phantom power.
Super low noise

With a stunning sensitivity of 39.4 mV/Pa, the 200-ohm the t.bone SC 1100 delivers an impressive output level. This means it isn’t picky at all when it comes to the quality of the microphone preamp. It’s also ultra-silent with an equivalent noise level of just 6.8 dB(A). Using it on delicate and very quiet sources is never a problem – even from a distance. That doesn’t mean that it can’t handle loud sources, too: At 125 dB SPL, distortion is only 0,5%. Its frequency range is 20 Hz to 20 kHz with a soft treble boost, a very gentle roll-off towards the very top and a small dip around 6.5 kHz to reduce harshness.
Classic shock mount that fits in the case

In order to keep the price low, the mechanical structure of the SC 1100 is simple, but proven and functional. The big basket helps to minimize reflections that could affect the capsule. The shock mount preventing mechanical vibration from reaching the diaphragm (thus: the signal) is designed in the trusted spider style with elastic suspension. And unlike many other large microphones, the SC 1100 comes with a sturdy case big enough to hold the shock mount, as well.
